King Ram Shah – National Heroes of Nepal

In ancient times Nepal was not the same as the present United Kingdom. At that time, Nepal was divided into many small kingdom. The Gorkha kingdom was also one of the divided states. After this, Prithvirayana Shah has started the integration of united Nepal. Ram Shah is also the King to rule in the same Gorkha kingdom. He was well known as the most righteous, merciful and religious king. He was born in Gorkha on 1614 A.D.

After the death of Chattra Shah, he became king of Gorkha Kingdom and ruled 27 years from 1639 A.D to 1666 A.D. During his rule, there was a great deal of improvement in Gorkha. After the king of Gorkha, he made the state as strong and stable kingdom. There was no good governance in other states at that time. By looking at this situation, he used to use the ancient kingdom. In the Gorkha State, Rama Shah mentioned perfect situation and social justice setting; Therefore, he has become a glorious King of Gorkha among other kingdom.

Ram Shah is the first king to rule the state in different parts of Nepal’s territories. He immediately accepted the system of modern measurement system in the society, initiated the process of old system into Assistant, Arthritis, Mori, Lid, Scales. The change in popularity in the society also changed the rate of pancreas in cash and the annual charity loan in the grain was arranged for the lentils. King Ram Shah loved the scholars, saints and the yogi very much. So in such a courtesy, such a person had a lot of courage. In 1639, his exemplary work, due to his work, is known as national identity in Nepal’s history.
